It has been an interesting journey this time in seeing the website come together and learning about how technology in this area has changed and grown over the years. Everything today is available on line, 24/7, at the click of a button, and the choice is overwhelming. In looking at how our small independent business stands out amongst the throng, the buzz seemed to be around ‘Social Media’.
So we took a breath and decided to take the plunge. However, Facebook, twitter, youtube, LinkedIn etc, left us somewhat exhausted in regard to the vast variety of social media available to us, but also left us wondering how we were going to be able to manage them all and provide quality time with our clients – it seemed at one point that we had to spend all our time talking jewellery rather than making it! At the end of the day we have opened ourselves up to Facebook and Youtube, is this the right decision? I have been amazed how the numbers of ‘friends’ have grown, and we hope that some of you will now take the time to ‘like’ us, but really, what is it we can provide you, our clients, through this media that will interest or excite you? As any of you who have met us know, we both love talking jewellery with our clients, and are happy to provide professional and informed advice to assist you in making the best decision in regard to your purchase, should we be providing this through Facebook? Or are we missing another area? We’d love to hear from you on this subject , are you a Facebook fan or critic, would you go regularly to a site that provides interesting and current information on the jewellery world? Or are you saturated with ‘facts’.
Well I have to go now, all this ‘talking’ means we’re not designing and creating …. now I can get passionate about that!
